We are the RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside Branch, a small, local, independent charity working to support animals within the areas of Sunderland, Hartlepool, South Tyneside and pockets of County Durham and Gateshead.. Although we work closely with the RSPCA National Society, we are a completely separate charity relying on the generosity of local donors.

Become a member
When becoming a member of the RSPCA please do not forget to select us as your chosen branch, you will be invited to our AGM's to hear all about the Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside branch's progress

You can choose from individual or collective membership to the branch by setting up a direct debit and receiving membership benefits, such as an annual invitation to our AGM. Find out more, here:
Make a one-off donation:
You can donate a sum of your choice to the branch in a number of ways based on your preference. You can donate via our JustGiving page, via Paypal, or by post if sending a cheque. Please make any cheques out to RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool & South Tyneside Branch:

How do you use your donations?
We use monetary donations, sell donated clothing and household items from our community hub in order to help fund the ongoing work of the branch, such as:

Subsidised neutering and microchipping for pets whose owners are on low income.

Emergency veterinary consultation fees and basic treatment for pets who are in urgent need of veterinary care.

Care, rehabilitation and treatment for animals taken into RSPCA Society's care from our branch area by the inspectorate and frontline teams.

Cruelty prevention education materials and school projects.
